2. How We Use Your Personal Data
We collect and use personal data for the following purposes:
To create and manage your account and provide access to the Services
To facilitate will writing, estate planning, and document generation
To operate PW Planner — including processing uploaded financial documents to generate consolidated gap analysis reports
To administer and deliver our certification and training programmes, including the PWW Certification course and PEP course, and to issue certificates of completion
To process payments and manage billing
To communicate important updates, service notices, and support responses
To send marketing communications where you have opted in (you may opt out at any time)
To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and court orders
To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, security incidents, or misuse of the platform
To improve our Services through analytics and user feedback
3. Disclosure of Personal Data
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share personal data with:
Authorised personnel within your organisation (for business client accounts) who have been granted platform access
Third-party service providers who assist us in delivering the Services, including cloud hosting providers, payment processors, email delivery services, and analytics platforms — all bound by data protection obligations
Legal and regulatory authorities where required by Singapore law, including the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), the courts, or law enforcement agencies
Professional advisers such as lawyers and auditors, under obligations of confidentiality

Qualified financial advisors and estate planning professionals within our network, where you have indicated an interest in receiving financial planning or estate advisory services, or where we reasonably consider such an introduction to be in your interest. Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we ensure that adequate protections are in place in accordance with the PDPA.
4. Retention of Personal Data
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. In general:
Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and for up to 7 years after termination for legal and regulatory compliance purposes
Will documents and related client data are retained in accordance with the instructions of the subscribing business client and applicable legal requirements
Financial documents uploaded via PW Planner are retained only for as long as necessary to generate the consolidated report, unless the business client opts to retain them within the platform
Certification records (PWW and PEP) are retained indefinitely to support verification of certification status
When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
5. Security of Personal Data
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction. These include:
Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
Role-based access controls and multi-factor authentication
Regular security assessments and penetration testing
Staff training on data protection obligations
However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
